Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Tina Singer, and I am in the process of becoming an elementary teacher! Here, you can explore my journey by reading my educational philosophy, exploring the tech tools I plan to integrate into my classroom, and viewing some of my creations!
I have two children who are the light of my life and have inspired me to become a teacher! I have an 18-year-old daughter, Josie, who lives in Bismarck, and my 14-year-old son, Mikey, who has a rare chromosomal deletion—1p36 Deletion Syndrome. I grew up and lived in Northeastern Oregon until 2012. For a little over a year, my kids and I lived in Montana before moving and making Stanley, North Dakota, our home in 2013.
When Covid-19 hit, I had to become an even bigger part of my children’s education, especially my son with his IEP. When I became much more hands-on with his education at home, I became curious about the world of education. When school could resume in person, I became a substitute para-professional to get my feet wet and see if I liked it. I immediately fell in love and have been working as a full-time para-professional at Stanley Elementary School since 2021. Every year I continue to work there, it remains a huge inspiration for wanting to become a teacher!
I received my associate in science and arts degree from Williston State College and am currently a junior at Valley City State University, where I am studying and completing my Bachelor's in Elementary Education.
I love to travel, am obsessed with music and reading, and enjoy taking landscape photography and spending time with my family! Some of our favorite things to do are watch movies together and play card and board games!
My educational journey has been incredible, and I can’t wait to become a teacher! Thank you for visiting my page!
